Large Shield-backed Bug resembles Tetyra - Tetyra bipunctata

Large Shield-backed Bug resembles Tetyra - Tetyra bipunctata
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
August 8, 2002
Size: BL ~ 18 mm
This is a large bug at about 18 mm. Taken in the CO foothills at about 6400' elevation, in an area rich with both pines and junipers. The only one I found in all the shield-backs that seems similar is Tetyra bipunctata # 156388. It is equally large, has the two spots on the scutellum and a similar raised dorsal stripe (though not colored red) on the head. Range is west to Kansas, but often insects are found further west. Any help is much appreciated.
16 Oct 2016: I just found #58876, a Tetyra sp shield-backed bug from Larimer County, CO that is extremely similar to this large Shield-backed back.

Moved
Moved from Pachycorinae.

good call but T. b. is apparently not recorded west of MN & TX
Moved from Shield-backed Bugs.

Possibly T. robusta?
Thanks for getting this to subfamily. Tetyra robusta has been recorded from CO, though I don't know what part.

Joe Eger agrees with your initial call, Lynn!
thanks

Tetyra bipunctata
Many thanks to you and Joe Eger! It's always a delight to get a special insect to species! Your help is much appreciated!
