Size: 1 - 1 1/4 inch
Found this along a path through a wooded area. The insect was obviously injured or ill. Thought it was a wasp or hornet. Others have suggested it could be a sawfly or cuckoo bee. I believe this to be the same species as that another image I posted, Unknown_2a. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for looking.

That's what I'm now thinking. Most of the photos I've seen are of individuals with colorless transparent wings, but I suppose that could be a regional variation.
