Encarsia

Encarsia
at home, Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
October 10, 2016
Size: adult < 1 mm
The leaf is a Commelina species, one of the kinds with two conspicuous blue petals and an inconspicuous white petal (e.g., C. erecta). I think the difference in the leaf color between the first two images is a result of the leaf drying out, rather than a photography issue.

Adult wasp photographed within hours of emergence.

Here is an adult whitefly that emerged on the same leaf, and which I think is the same species as the one that was parasitized.

Image #6 was posted as an afterthought. It was backlit and shot through microscope at about same time as image #2.

The whitefly pupa resembles online images of Bemisia argentifolii.
