Crayfish - Cambarus polychromatus
Beech Bluff, Madison County, Tennessee, USA

They live in holes (hundreds in my yard) that go into the ground at about a 45 degree angle. No chimneys. This one was out because we'd just had some extremely heavy rain and the burrows were all flooded. Whenever this happens, I find 1 or 2 wandering in my yard.
