The right carapace was removed for this image. This allowed the distance between the glycerin surface and the clam shimp body to be reduced. Numerical aperture of the objective was reduced too (from 0.14 to 0.1). These changes reduce blurring from the carapace and decrease spherical aberration, significantly improving resolution.
