This specimen was collected from a vernal pool near the southern end of Carlisle Blvd., (Albuquerque East 7.5 minute quadrangle), Kirtland AFB, Bernalillo Co. NM. See Clam shrimp, live remarks for the main discussion of its environment and identification.

The specimen was stored in EOTH 95%, then removed and allowed to dessicate.

This image is from a CombineZP processed stack of 150 images with a 0.9 µm step taken with a Nikon BD Plan Apo 40×/0.80 210/0 mm microscope objective + adapter/extension tube + Nikon D810 camera.
