Ten-lined June bug
While at summer camp today looking for bugs, I stumbled across this magnificent bug! I am guessing that it is a female because of the smaller antennae. She is missing a back leg, and seems tired. I put her in my bug house and took her home for a meal of Pine and Cypress. She seems happy and I am hoping she enjoys her accomodations for the night! I live in Temecula, California which is about 60 miles North East of San Diego.

Hissing Beetle or June bug
my comment under Madagascar Hissing Beetle where I asked if there is any way that this beetle can evolve....well it look identical to this beetle and is this the ten lined June bug?
