The posterior portion of the scutellum (the frenum) forms into two long apical spines that are about as long as the mesosoma, and the mesosoma also greatly elevates above the dorsal margin of the head suggesting this species. Females have an orange-brown colored gaster. Dr. Heraty mentioned in his paper that you referenced that this is the only species that can be easily identified in this genus that contains three other species. The distribution includes Georgia and Florida.

This is a nice, rare find. A new species page can be created for this female. The subfamily is Eucharitinae, the genus Kapala. Kapala floridana (Ashmead, 1885)
