Bug Nymph
It's hard to be sure, from just this side view. A dorsal shot might help to determine the species. Please wait for an expert opinion.
Here is an example of a young Stink Bug, Moromorpha tetra: Your's may be closely related, but I'm not sure. (different ages?) This is a monotypic genus and the range includes Texas. If confirmed, a first for your state, congrats!
