Drasteria perhaps tejonica but this specimen is ragged but I would be ragged too if I had flown across half of Texas to western Louisiana. But, it could be another species?

Indomitable Melipotis Moth
This look-a-like is available over there. Check out the dark dashes, above the AM line and also the dark splotch, near the apex.
