This bug was found along a creek bed that is mostly gravel and sand.

Acrosternum...
early instar by the looks of it - I don't see any sign of wings yet. Compare to this more developed A. hilare.

As if the adult bugs aren't hard enough, and then come the nymphs! I'm not sure I will ever get this but I keep trying.
