Stenolophus humidus

Stenolophus humidus
Mudhole Gap, Shenandoah County, Virginia, USA
May 23, 2016
Size: 4.7mm
Collected by treading vegetation in a moist clearing of Typha, mixed lowland woods with sandy soil, near a small stream. (exactly the type of habitat described by Lindroth. neat..)

Lindroth is of course the best source for information about this species, but here are a few key characters:
-Parascutellar striae very short or absent
-Subapical sinuation of elytra strong
-Both elytra and pronotum extremely iridescent (not shown well in this shot, because of diffuse light used)
-Ocular line on head does not reach eye (also not clear here, of course)
-ABL 5mm or less.
