How do you distinguish externa from rufilabris?
Is this one teneral?

Identification
C. rufilabris has a more extensive red mark on the gena ("lip/cheek" plate), little to no red on the prothorax, and always has black cross-veins (one of only 2 species in our area with dark regions of wing venation). C. externa has typically a narrower stripe on the gena, fairly unique red stripes on the sides of the prothorax, and entirely green cross-veins.

I've never seen a teneral lacewing, but
this one looks to me like it could be teneral.
