Scopula sp? - Digrammia muscariata

Scopula sp? - Digrammia muscariata
Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
August 15, 2016
Size: wingspan 30mm, body 10mm
guessing family Geometridae, genus Scopula ("waves"), but not clear on species. Three parallel lines more prominent than most photos, not very wavy. Lightly peppered like inductata but discal spot only on HW, no discal spot apparent on FW. FW median line has a jag toward apex. HW rounded, so not limboundata. Thanks for your help.

Moved from ID Request. Macariini is my guess.

perhaps Digrammia equivocata Ferguson 2008

appears similar to specimen submitted by Jocelyn Gill

However, previous specimens on MPG are all east of Rockies, and the four specimens I collected were from Salt Lake City, UT (western edge of Rockies)

.
I also liked this photo of Jocelyn Gill's better here and the species is seen in Utah.

I have been told that Digrammias are among the most difficult Genuses and I am not an expert.
