Moth - Anisota consularis

Moth - Anisota consularis
Okeechobee County, Florida, USA
July 26, 2007
Plexippus paykulli stalking potential prey item.

For those of you lacking a funny bone, or think I really believe that, it's a joke.
(Due to some previous commentaries, I have to idiot-proof my comments.)

Moved
Moved from Anisota.

I decided to move this to A. cosularis after seeing this (see my comment): http://bugguide.net/node/view/968555/bgimage

and by a matter of elimination, conclude that this is probably A. consularis. Also, the time of year of this sighting coincides quite well with the other A. consualris.

Anisota
I just came across this... I'm leaning towards A. consularis on this one. However, I'm not certain enough to move these photos to the respective file.

Ya gotta think big!
Jeff, there are a number of these in the genus Anisota here, and I thick Patrick Coin was working to make sense of them, but we always get confused trying to sort them out.

Great
thanks. The idiot-proof part is a joke, too.
