Podalonia species? - Sphex lucae - female

Podalonia species? - Sphex lucae - Female
Resaca De La Palma State Park, Cameron County, Texas, USA
October 30, 2016
Size: 2 cm
I believe this is a Podalonia wasp species, but I cannot find an exact match--all red abdomen and black legs. It is presumably a female because at the moment of image capture, it was whisking dirt back into a hole in the ground with its legs. I'd appreciate a scientific name and a common name if there is one. Thanks.

Female - Thread-waisted Wasp
This looks like a female Sphex lucae, but please wait for an expert. (widespread, mostly western range)
