Synonyms and other taxonomic changes
Prodoxus marginatus Riley, 1891
Prodoxus pulverulentus Riley, 1892
Remarks
Prodoxus marginatus and
P. pulverulentus appear different with the latter having outer half of wings more densely specked with dark scales and a more southernly distribution. Powell & Mackie (1966?) treated
P. pulverulentus as a synonym of
P. marginatus based on genitalia and an apparent zone of integration.

Pellmyr et al. (2005) synonymized P. pulverulentus with P. marginatus
