Sawfly? larva from black haw (Viburnum prunifolium)

Sawfly? larva from black haw (Viburnum prunifolium)
Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, USA
June 21, 2007
Size: 0.7 cm
I've shaken quite a few of these critters off black haw (Viburnum prunifolium) foliage and they look like sawfly larvae to me. However, my search for "Viburnum and sawfly" turned up only one sawfly species, which is a stem borer, and doesn't really resemble the ones I've found. The photos are of 2 different individuals, with differing head patterns. Any suggestions?

sawfly is correct
but can´t tell more, sorry.

sawfly
Thanks. Glad to at least have it confirmed as a sawfly - I was beginning to doubt myself based on the absence of references to such beasts (other than the stem borers) on its host plant.
