Lophocampa mixta? - Lophocampa mixta

Lophocampa mixta? - Lophocampa mixta
Upper Bond Canyon, Santa Rita Mtns, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
November 19, 2016
Size: 25 mm
Underneath Quercus arizonica. I called this Lophocampa mixta but am not sure how to rule out L. pura - I have seen both species nearby.

Moved
Moved from Lophocampa.

Does look more like mixta to us
Charles has some pura images in the guide and they seem distinct

Thanks! I'll move it.
