Tiger Beetle #2 - Cicindela repanda

Tiger Beetle #2 - Cicindela repanda
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
December 24, 2007
I am having a hard time telling the difference between Subspecies Cicindela repanda repanda and Subspecies Cicindela hirticollis rhodensis. They both look hairy is some of bug guides picture and not hairy in others. The shape of the marks is very similar and some pictures of both seem to show the marks sometimes touching sometimes not.

I have three pictures of what could be either, taken in different years and different times of year, all on the same beach location along the Chesapeake Bay. I'll post them separately because they each are different creatures and one might be not the same as the others.

Any advice as to what I should be looking for to differentiate them would be really helpful. Thanks.

This one seems to have some of the lines connected.
