Moved, I am OK with Chlaenius cumatilis
I re-evaluated the pronotum. Don't know why I didn't see it first time around :)

Cool!
Another thing I realized recently is leucoscelis has smooth, rounded humeri, while cumatilis has a well-defined carina at the humerus, forming a distinct angle.

Sure it's not cumatilis?
It looks closer to that species, to me

 
I bounced back and forth...
but tentatively settled on this species. I have collected both in southern AZ
