Potamanthidae: Anthopotamus myops? - Anthopotamus myops

Potamanthidae: Anthopotamus myops? - Anthopotamus myops
Erskine, Polk County, Minnesota, USA
June 22, 2016
A belated posting of a specimen that Roger finally got a good look a few weeks ago (Pers. Comm.). The genus looks good, I reckon, but the species epithet may still be in question, according to Roger.

Anthopotamus myops
Hi Carl,

Your original suspicion was correct, this is Anthopotamus myops. This female imago has an unmarked abdomen, no darkened crossveins in the forewings, and none in the hindwings. These are typical characteristics of myops females.

Best,
Lloyd
