Adults - feature a bold, white, transverse bar in place of the antemedial line, on a nearly uniform brown forewing (1)

Remarks
There are three similar species in Arizona and southern California. A. reluctalis ranges from western Texas to California and Mexico. It has a rust brown forewing, paler than A. remellalis and darker than A. concha (1)
