Unfortunately there are a lot of species in Florida that are unidentified at the moment, since many of the species are Neotropical rather than Nearctic in distribution :^(

The only Florida Toxomerus on BugGuide at *all* similar to this fly is this T. floralis, but even then the pattern is quite different, so this is probably a new Toxomerus for BugGuide!

I've looked/keyed through Thompson 1981 for Toxomerus in the West Indies and the closest match is to T. floralis; there's also some similarity to members of the arcifer group, but still no match there.
