Size and habitat
Habitat was mixed woodland (primarily deciduous) next to a spring-fed river. If I recall correctly, length was similar to C. floridanus.

As in a fairly large ant, over 1 cm long??
Or, like C. nearcticus, one of the small carpenter ants, maxing out at 8-9mm?.

I can't say for certain, as I never measured it and I'm hesitant to give a definite size from memory.
