reared from Abies balsamea (balsam fir) logs felled march 2016. Keyed to cyaneus using "Guide to the Siricid Woodwasps of North America" by Schiff et. al. Identifying characteristics: short ovipositor, smooth patches between dimples on mesopleuron, and small / widely-spaced pits on ovipositor
