Dryinid - Dryinus alatus Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada July 28, 2007 Size: 7 mm
A highly unusual insect, it has arms cocked like those of a Mantispid, the body and stance of an Ichneumonid, the long legs and gait of a Micropezid, the claws of a Velociraptor, and the watchfulness of a Mantid.
If blown up 1000X, this would certainly make an excellent candidate for a sci-fi alien!
