Spotted Toxonprucha - Toxonprucha pardalis

Spotted Toxonprucha - Toxonprucha pardalis
Nogales, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
June 30, 2007
came to light; ID based on info and images linked to in Guide

Moved
Moved from Toxonprucha.

The orange-brown and sometimes blue coloring in the ST area, separates this species from both Toxonprucha clientis and Toxonprucha strigalis. All three have a prominent spot at the apex of the fore-wings.

species uncertain
I initially posted this to the Toxonprucha pardalis page but have since found an image labeled T. strigalis that is virtually identical to pardalis. Assuming the photo was correctly IDed and labeled, I think my specimen could be either pardalis or strigalis. More info in Remarks section on species page.
