Interesting
With the exception of Magicicada and to a lesser extent Okanagana I know of no other species of cicadas that form such dense aggregations.
Robin are you from Arizona? I'd love to have a couple of specimens. If you can contact me off of Bugguide, I'd really appreciate it.

No specimens, sorry
...and until 6 weeks ago I had never visited the southwestern US. Up to 115 Fahrenheit on our trip but dry as a bone, so no sweating at all - I loved it!
