large beige-brown mite with spiny translucent legs & palps
Palos Verdes Peninsula, Los Angeles County, California, USA
December 16, 2016
Size: ~ 2 mm
Found under a moist rock a day after it had rained.
It looks like a large whirlygig mite, it ran like a whirlygig mite, but I don't know how it quacks ...
Is this a Erythracarin whirlygig mite ?
I haven't been able to find a matching genus.
