ID Confirmation
Don Lafontaine agrees that this likely to be the same species as the one shown at MPG as "9689.96 –
Perigea n. sp.
– Undescribed Perigea Moth". That species is not, however, in the genus
Perigea
. BOLD shows this under
PsaphidiniRZ new sp.
here
. A manuscript name is assigned to the species by Eric Metzler and his co-authors. The genus may also be as yet undescribed. BOLD examples fall into two BINs which may be determined to represent two separate species. Based on barcoding, not to mention the name given at BOLD, it appears that this will end up being in the tribe Psaphidini which is in the subfamily Amphipyrinae.
