ichneumonid 2 - Cratichneumon sublatus - female

ichneumonid 2 - Cratichneumon sublatus - Female
Mississauga, Peel Region, Ontario, Canada
August 15, 2016
An ID to even the tribe or subfamily level would be much-appreciated! I think that this specimen looks somewhat like Cratichneumon sublatus and C. viator, but it also bears resemblance to Ctenichneumon...just not sure. Thanks in advance!

Cratichneumon (female)…
I have reviewed the description for C. sublatus, which is present in your area and suggestive based on your images, but, unfortunately, I do not have access to any details for C. viator, which appears to be quite similar. Suggest leaving at the genus level for now.

See reference here.

This is an enormous help Ross-
thank you so much for the update and for taking the time to look up the species description for C. sublatus. I'm very happy to have this specimen ID'ed to the genus level!
