Small Scarab - Geotrupes egeriei

Small Scarab - Geotrupes egeriei
Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia, USA
December 23, 2016
Size: 13-14 mm
Active mid-day in December. To my eye, it looks like it might be a dung beetle, but I am not sure. I appreciate ID if possible!

If there are other features that may help ID, let me know and I will see if I have an image. Thanks!
