Morse's Symploce - Symploce morsei Torch Keys, Monroe County, Florida, USA December 19, 2016 Size: 2cm
I have seen this species on several islands in the upper and lower keys. They are very fast and are a little skittish when exposed to lights. Adults are most easily encountered by looking for them on vegetation at night, and the attractive nymphs can be seen by sifting through leaf litter, although the nymphs are extremely difficult to catch.
