Adorable baby Cubaris - Cubaris murina

Adorable baby Cubaris - Cubaris murina
Marathon, Monroe County, Florida, USA
December 15, 2016
Size: 5mm
One of my favorite species to find in Florida. I just love their orange uropods! These were very small juveniles.

very cool
Very cool Eric - I'd love to find one of these myself. We're getting a few on iNat but so far none from Florida - all from the Yucatan http://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&taxon_id=248840

Thanks
This is a good reminder that I should set up an iNat account and start posting stuff there too.

would be awesome if you're interested
these Cubaris would bring the iNat US Oniscidea tally to 39 sp http://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=1&taxon_id=84718&view=species

I've got a few Oniscidea species posted to iNat not represented in the Guide that I'll post here likewise, eg http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/2096213

What a coincidence
It's funny that you linked to a photo of that species - I am leaving in the AM to go to coastal CA to look for salamanders and isopods, and that's one of the species I was hoping to see. What kind of habitat did you find that one in? If you have any recommendations for good isopod hunting locations in northern CA, I'd love to take a peek if I have time.

Are you going to be in the Bay Area?
If so use this http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/15776329#page/317/mode/1up happy to go isopod hunting with you email me at loarie at gmail
