Female
Nice catch! This might be a female Tachytes harpax. She is very similar to another species in this same species group, Tachytes crassus. However, that species has females with three pale bands on their abdomens. Your's has four of them. -- 6 abdominal segments = ♀
Also, these key features are very important for her ID:
1. - We can just barely see some patches of hairs on the ventral side of the hind femur in the second shot. = Pass
2. - Scape black = Pass
3. - Hind tibia red = Pass
4. - Hind femur more than half black = Pass
5. - Scutum has some anterolateral reflective pubescence = Pass
6. - Females with four pale abdominal bands = Pass
7. - Eastern range = Pass
= Tachytes harpax Patton 1881

This is a new species and a species page will need to be created for her. Hold on for an expert opinion, because we still need to rule out all of the other possible species.
