Common Sootywing or Florida Duskywing? - Ephyriades brunnea
National Key Deer Refuge, Monroe County, Florida, USA
January 8, 2017

Thanks Judy for narrowing to possible ID.
Nice side image. Sootywing has white face and white spots on head with continuous semi circular spot pattern above.
This specimen has a dark face and head with a distinct forewing three spot subapical spot pattern followed by a circular PM spot pattern with a faint spot at the cell end.

Moved from ID Request.
