Size: ~ .2 mm
This very tiny globular springtail was living in sand live oak leaf litter in a scrub. It was isolated from the litter with a Berlese funnel. it has a purplish head and brown abdomen.

Just an educated guess... given the fuzzy images...

 
Thanks for
the help on this one. I am embarrassed that I could not take better pictures. The litter sample this springtail was in was coated with webbing and what looked like sticky mucus. I couldn't free the springtail to take a better photo. If I get a chance, I'll try again.
