Globular Springtail - Ptenothrix

Globular Springtail - Ptenothrix
Chatsworth, Los Angeles County, California, USA
January 13, 2017
Size: 1-2mm
The multicolored one in the middle. Possibly Ptenothrix renateae. I think there are many more species than we have submitted (in an approximately 1ft x 1ft area), but it is difficult to get clear pictures of these tiny critters.
