Scopula inductata ? - Scopula compensata
Tallahassee FL USA, Leon County, Florida, USA

Size: small, less than 1 inch
Porch light visitor. This moth appears to be rather worn making it very difficult for me to determine if it is S. inductata or S. limboundata. ID help appreciated.

I think your genus was right the first time. You might also take a look at for a species possibility. I have had them "mellow out" more like your specimen.

Scopula
Thanks so much for the help. I think compensata looks like a good fit, and one I hadn't considered. Another tough group!

Idaea obfusaria
The more I look at this moth, the more I think it might be Idaea obfusaria. Still very uncertain.
