Scarab Beetle - Macrodactylus

Scarab Beetle - Macrodactylus
Bethlehem, Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA
July 31, 2007
Size: 8mm
Found on goldenrod flowers.

Boris, you convinced me:-)
Moved from Frass.

Oh no, excellent picture!
I think we should keep it. ID to species will be possible one day, and also images of non-perfect specimens are useful for comparison (because we often find them in nature).

Thanks Eric. I guess we don't need any more rose chafers, especially worn out ones:-)

Worn out Macrodactylus.
This is one of the rose chafers, Macrodactylus sp., with most of its scales worn off:-)
