possible digger bee Big Bend National Park - Grapevine Hills - near the Balanced Rock, Brewster County, Texas, USA March 12, 2016
I thought this might be a Centris species. This was in a rather dry area, but the Grapevine Spring was a short distance away. I note the lack of prominent white bands on the upper part of the abdomen, plus the greenish eye.
