Size

Wingspan: 12 mm (1).

Identification

Very similar to C. leucobasis, which has white-tipped black scales, whereas C. multimarginata has white-margined black scales (1) (2).

Range

Records from Utah (1), California (3), and British Columbia (4).

Season

The single adult Braun (1925) reared emerged in July in Utah (1). MPG includes records from January to August in California (3).

Food

Braun (1925) reared it from a mint (Lamiaceae) (1).

Life Cycle

The larvae spin a web between several mint leaves (1).
