mound-building ant - Solenopsis invicta

mound-building ant - Solenopsis invicta
Okefenokee Wildlife Sanctuary Campground, Charlton County, Georgia, USA
March 26, 2016
Seemingly the most common ant in the refuge. Builds mounds, or hills about 1' diameter and 6" high in the sandy soil. Given the lack of fine definition, I included a number of individuals in the photo in hopes it would aid in the ID.
