Species character
The bulge and spines under the fore femur are a species-specific male secondary sexual character, used to hold the female's wing's during mating. A good shot of them should allow species ID by somebody with the right literature.

Unfortunately, I discarded the specimen after I removed the wing for this photo. I will keep your tip in mind if I find another male. Thank you John!
