Camponotus americanus
2 miles north of Colmesneil, Tyler County, Texas, USA
January 25, 2017
Size: body abt 10mm
Large ant found exploring our propane tank and no other ants in sight. Habitat is mixed hardwoods and pines, sandy soil, pond and creek close by.
