Atrichomelina pubera? - Atrichomelina pubera - female

Atrichomelina pubera? - Atrichomelina pubera - Female
Great Falls, C&O Canal NHP, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
January 21, 2017
This one keys out to Atrichomelina pubera using MND (1). I’m not entirely convinced that I can see the “hair-like” proepisternal bristle that distinguishes this species from other Sciomyzini. However, if I assume that the bristle isn’t present (Tetanocerini), the trail dies at couplet 10 because the fly doesn’t fit either set of features.

If I could get confirmation/correction of the ID, that would be great. Thanks in advance
