Your ID is correct, and I'll add that this is a male. Please, if you are ever in doubt of an ID, submit the image to "ID Request." Isodontia is not an 'easy' genus to determine to species.

please reconsider your Isodontia apicalis IDs from NY and New England or, if you are certain these are correct, fully document them, preferably with specimens or a published citation. We have no I. apicalis from these areas in the AMNH collection.
