Daihinia brevipes - male

Daihinia brevipes - Male
Stanton County, Kansas, USA
July 1, 2016
Collected while crossing a road.

You see these often?
Just curious, looks like it'd be an amazing species to get into culture...

I wish
Unfortunately, this is the only one I've ever seen. They would make really good pets. They are fairly slow-moving and can't really hop, making escapees unlikely.

Dang!
They definitely sound like they'd be great for captive culture then, too bad they seem uncommon... If you ever go looking in habitat you think you'd find them in, try laying oat trails on the ground, seems to work well for attracting camel crickets, (and Tenebs too!).
