My Kaufman guide does not show white streaks for a Brown which is why I ID'ed as a Teleus, but I have seen other photos of Brown Long on I Naturalist site with streaks, ID appreciated

Likely Brown Longtail
The white streaks for the Brown Longtail are variable - from essentially non-existent to pretty heavy. Do you happen to have a decent photo of the antennae of this specimen? Teleus Longtail have a white ring just under the club of the antennae, Brown Longtail do not.

Your image looks like a standard Brown Longtail from the valley.

Thanks for the info, very helpful, this is my first attempt to ID Brown Longtails and my Kaufmam guide is not as helpful as you.
I had also had info from others on Plains Longtail and my guide does not even show them

On this outing I had a Longtailed Skipper a solid brown Brown Longtail and a Brown Longtail with white strips, mmy guide did shot Browns with strips so I really was just trying to determine what I was seeing

I looked again at the antenna and no white rings on so I have ID'ed as a Brown
